Next Gen BMW 6-Series Gets Caught In The Wild

Hare are some of  the most revealing photos yet of the next generation 6-series convertible (F13).

Compared to the previous sightings, the car seen here reveals more details. For the first time we are seeing the front kidney grill outlines and outlines of the headlights and tail lights.

The F13 6-series will be a folding hardtop convertible (the cloth covering the hardtop is a decoy) and is expected to debut late this year for a possible premiere at the Geneva Autoshow in March 2011.

I doubt it, there's a 3-Series coupe to go along with the hardtop.

What I meant to say is i am not a fan of a convertible hardtop it makes the car look like an ERECTOR set when the top is up they should stay with the soft top it has a much cleaner look

B7FAN: You are right...I see the same lines on the hood of the 7 and the 5....however the profile looks good to me.

I don't think it looks very interesting in these images. I hope it looks are LOT more captivating in person. The current 6 looked uninspiring right out of the gate, and never became an icon nor a hot seller. The limited-production Z7 was an achievement, though, so I know BMW can create a head-turner! BTW, Chris Bangle's team did the Z7.

I fear the new 6 will be just another missed oppotunity for BMW :-(

What is a Z7? What causes you to fear a missed opportunity when the car you are talking about hasn't even been completed? It isn't finished yet. There is not even a car to have a knee-jerk reation to yet. I know you know that making a judgement on this camoflagued mule is grossly premature.

Should be interesting to see how they'll get rid of the bangle butt on the 6.
