Audi plans to use the e-Tron designation for its electric vehicle
As you may know already Audi is working hard on its upcoming electric cars, but today we find out something new regarding these cars. It appears that the German manufacturer is planning to use e-Tron designation for its electric vehicles, just like the current vehicles bear the “quattro” designation.

According to the latest reports, Audi will produce an initial run of 100 units of its e-tron electric sports car at the Ingolstadt factory in 2012, but an expansion of the production volume to 1000 units is planned.

Every time I read something about this car, the french translation of étron comes in to my mind ... which ist ... "shit" !!!!!!!


Brilliant move Audi. Thats the way to go if you don´t want to sell one single car to french speaking people. Good Marketing!

Audi should make a methane powered car called étron, that would make more sense!

Lets take the Methane idea a step further. Design it to run on "poo-slurry" that converts to methane for usable energy, while blowing the waste product out of the tailpipe at high velocities, whilst driving. And give away free "fart boxes" like you used to win in grade school for selling so many chocolate bars to senior citizens.
