Lexus CT 200h announced for Geneva Motor Show
Lexus announced today the debut of its brand new CT 200h model (of course, this is not new for 4WheelsNews readers, because we announced this model back in September - check this post) at this year’s Geneva Motor Show in March.

Based on the LF-Ch concept, the new car is created for drivers who want a car witj lower emissions and promises to be the first full hybrid vehicle in the premium compact segment. Lexus CT 200h will offer new levels of refinement, sophistication and attention to detail and this without even compromising style or driving pleasure.

read this on another site

"The Lexus CT 200h is a compact hybrid which will share the same powertrain as the Toyota Prius - a gasoline/electric hybrid that combines a 1.8 liter engine with an electric motor for a total of 134 hp."

Oh, right, ok so a mercedes e-class and s-class is the same car becuase they both share the same v-8 engines.

Cool. Thanks for clearing that up Joe!

The Mercedes E and S class share the same V8 because they are both made by Mercedes Benz. Lexus is supposed to be a seperate car company "different" from Toyota. But engines, platforms, etc. are shared. Oh, and gas pedddles also shared.

One can almost hear the roar from the Tata boardrooms as executives contemplate a new Jaguar entry level vehicle.

Lexus should drop the rather gauche HS in favor of coupe and sedan variants of this CT.
