DB9 Vs. Veloce Design Study, Who's Easier On The Eyes?
Aston Martin, long known to produce some of the coolest and most stunning designs in the biz, is most likely working on a DB9 replacement; however, someone may have something better in mind. An enthusiastic 24 year-old Swedish industrial design student has penned up something that is quite pleasing to the eye.

What do you guys think? Is THIS a better Aston design then what the factory has produced thus far?

Let us know in the comments below...

Carscoop reports:

"The Aston Martin Veloce is a well executed styling exercise for a more dynamic replacement to the British brand's DB9 supercar and it was sent to us by Marouane Bembli, a 24-year old industrial design student from Sweden. You may remember him from one of his previous works that we showed you here on Carscoop back in November '09, the Audi R10 V10 supercar concept study..."

You gotta love that Aston Martin signature taillight treatment. Probably won't look as aggressive in Production form ...but it does look like it would increase its road presence.

I love Aston's. It would my brand of choice if I am not so in love with Porsche's. The 2010 911 Turbo has improvements over the last one that I can't ignore. The overall performance is better and I like the fact Porsche has managed to balance a rear engine car so well and get away with so many things when in theory, a rear engine would leave it unbalanced.

Love(d) the Aston 'design language', but isn't it time to try something remotely different.

At this point it just looks like they're putting the same design in Kai's Power Goo Photoshop plug-in, deforming it a bit here and there, and calling it a day.

I like that:
- The gills on the hoods don't look out of place, a problem that the V12 Vantage gills and DBS hood scoops have.
- The design is new but still identifiable as an Aston

Needs: the signature elongated hood

Anyone else notice the striking similarity between the Aston Martin One-77 and the Chrysler Firepower Concept from several years ago?
