Next-generation Honda Ridgeline coming in 2011
A new Honda Ridgeline is coming in 2011, according to Vicki Poponi, Honda’s assistant vice president of product planning, who spoke to reporters at the 2010 Chicago Auto Show. The current Honda Ridgeline has been around for five years, making it one of the oldest vehicles in Honda’s lineup.

In 2005, the midsize, unibody Ridgeline arrived. Instead of conventional leaf springs, it had an independent rear suspension that gave it great ride comfort and enough room for an in-bed lockable trunk (the first in a pickup). It also boasted of having all-wheel drive and a dual-action tailgate that folded down or off to the side, like a door, to allow unimpeded access to the cargo box.

I almost bought oneit needs a nicer interior, slightly bigger seats, and more towing capacity, but just about 500 pounds to 5500-6000 because the engine gets tired real quick. It could also use bigger brakes.

It should also be able to get better mileage.

This needs 3 locking diffs and larger tires 33 min. with an off road package, It would also boost sales if they had the capacity for 6 seats, and with the off road package it could use more wheel travel, min of 12 inches with some racing shocks. This is why they will never be no 1, although it is a great car/truck, safe, reliable, but no off road ability at all.

And if they added wings and a rocket it would fly to the moon!

Be real here: this truck wasn't made for people that wanted a truck. It was made for people who wanted to LOOK like they had a truck but didn't have the need for real truck capabilities.

Couldn't have said it better myself. This "Truck" has no real capabilities. Just looks like a truck. For the same price as a Ridgeline, you can get an F-150, a real truck.

The most important thing I forgot to mention was that this princess needs a low range, I would love to see something compete with Fords Raptor, unfortunately ford doesn't have to worry at all, no competition.

I agree with all of you here! Honda is a great company and I would love to see Honda build a truck that I would want to buy, I love capable off road trucks, that is why I would never buy this princess, although a nice hwy cruiser and safe... just not a complete truck, its an Accord with a box in the back.
