Audi announces RS 6 plus Sport and RS 6 plus Exclusive packages

Audi announced today that it will offer two new limited-edition equipment packages for the RS 6 which will be limited to just 500 units.

Each of these RS 6 models promises to be truly unique and will feature a Carbon design package for the engine compartment, 20-inch wheels bearing a 5 segment-spoke design and the sports suspension plus. The customers can opt for one of two packages: RS 6 plus Sport or RS 6 plus Audi exclusive. The RS 6 plus Sport is offering an instrument-panel hood and center console covered in leather and new RS 6 logo on the front floor mats.

You can get the RS6 and other Euro-only RS and S cars from a Canadian subsidiary of MTM called horchaus (yes, lower-case "h"). I read an article in Motor Trend, which references a blogger at iedei.wordpress.com who suggests that while AoA may not be interested in committing resources to selling such low-volume cars, MTM (who depends on those cars) is.

Audi of Germany is not only delighted to sell the cars in North America, they also prepare them to American spec and use horchaus as the distributor. I was going to submit an article about this, but I'm too lazy.
