UPDATE: Porsche Uber-Tuner Uwe Gemballa Disappears In South Africa
Uwe Gemballa, the founder and big boss of the popular Porsche tuner, Gemballa, has been reported missing.

According to a number reports, Gemballa was found missing during the 51-year olds trip to South Africa. There’s no confirmed location as to where he disappeared but the prevailing opinion is that the Gemballa fell off the grid while he was in Johannesburg, which, incidentally, is one of the most notoriously dangerous cities in the world known for its stratospheric crime rate.

UPDATE BELOW:

In a twist to yesterday’s story about Gemballa’s founder – Uwe Gemballa – being missing in South Africa, we’ve just been called by a contact in Germany who has told us that German Government officials have sealed the offices of Gemballa this morning.

It would be wrong of us to speculate at this point on the reasons for this, although we did hear rumours yesterday about the possible reasons for Uwe’s disappearance which we couldn’t publish.

TurboSpyder, That is very ignorant statement.
It can happen to anyone anywhere around the world, I travel a lot around the planet and at this very moment as I type this, I am on a five year assignment in the mentioned country. You should see more of the world and chances are you may never sound that ignorant again ever in your whole entire life.

As for MR Gemballa let's hope he is safe where ever he is.

Having lived in Jakarta for several years and not having faced any danger to my life but then driving through Los Angeles and almost getting carjacked by a homeless man at a redlight, I can safely say that nowhere is absolutely safe nor absolutely dangerous.

I've been to Johannesburg and Cape town and didn't find it dangerous at all. I even drove through Soweto and didn't get jumped. Cape Town is even my favorite city of all time. Every big city has their seedy neighborhoods, so its not fair to throw the whole country under the bus.
