SPIED: Ford's All-New 5.0 HEARD On The Track For The FIRST Time

With the return of the 5.0 there has been a huge, renewed interest in what is coming out of Dearborn. But, besides my fellow writers and automotive brethren that were present at the press preview in December, I am pretty confident not many -- if anyone -- has been able to to hear the all-new 5.0 liter V8.

The Smoking Tire reports:

"While filming at the track for the newest episode of The Smoking Tire, we couldn’t help but notice the mustang with the spray-can paintjob, green mirrors, and wires and holes all over the interior. A check with the driver revealed that this was a prototype for the new 2011 Mustang GT..."

How is this car a POS? It has over 412 hp for just over 34-35 grand. The dynamics of the car are also very good and it's put together as good if not better then a lot of Japanese cars. I invite people to even Compare this to a Subaru WRX STI or an EVO along with the Challenger SRT8 and Camaro Z28 on the track and it won't be far off the pace. I even say this car can beat an E46 BMW M3 from a few years ago as well.

Ford is doing a lot of good right now. I'm pretty glad I invested some of my funds into their stock a little while back. The new Taurus, upcoming Focus, new Fiesta pre orders coming in, the new Mustang 5.0 engine, the heavily updated Edge refresh, the new Fusion being worked on, a new Explorer due soon and the classy Flex. Ford is really setting high bars and doing well, heck I've already made cash on them!

Am I the only one to notice how slopily the Mustang entered the corner in the beginning of the clip?
