this car is such a disappointment, i had hoped Audi would do something much more radical with this generation.

Yes is true something like A7 but this car is great is not that bad either. Is very ellegant and conservative with plenty of technology.

The car looks amazing? Especially in that color. Much more sleek than the bulbous S-Class and the Ms. Piggy 7-Series.

If not "radical", then at least more fashionable. I like Audi, but that front end just does not work for me.

Aside from a little flame-surfacing, this new Audi design is great cure for insomnia.

Unfortunately for vw/audi this car is massively outclassed by the 7 Series and S Class again.

I'm starting to like it more, like some big ol' lovable bloodhound with its droopy, but endearing eyes. Who's a good boy? Yes, you are. Yes, you are.

I have a feeling that I will like this car more in LWB form, even then though I am not sure that the additional length will compensate for the rather... boring proportions. I really think that this car in terms of it very structure (its proportions) is far less extreme, particularly from the front, than the car it replaces.

This is compounded by the fact that it now has to compete with something like the new XJ, which has such extreme proportions that is has completely obliterated the 3 box design (it is sort of a opposing wedge design...the lower one sloping forward and one on top sloping backwards.)

I really like the new XJ, to me it is the homerun Jaguar needed.

I say that because as it is above, its proportions combied with the execution are just too...common. The proportions of a LWB car are fundamentally more extreme than a SWB car, and as such it may add a unique dymanic to the car that the SWB is lacking.

Maybe the exterior is a disappointment...but the interior is the best I've seen on any car in it's class...OMG! I'll get a body kit or S-Line kit and call it a day

The materials used appear to be first rate and the details are outstanding but overall the interior looks way to busy its to much going on in there

Seriously, this car looks like a tarted up VW passat or VW Phaeton

@Mario-Roman: Nice shots but your text sounds like a marketing brochure from Ingolstadt! Why haven“t you shot any interior pics?

It's just a big A4.

Too bad Audi can't improve their design language anymore

I agree this car is just an extra-long A4, but even with that said, Audi has delivered the right combination of performance, technology, luxury, and driving dynamics to the point where buyers will be able to overlook the car's extra-long A4 design and realize that if they look at the whole package, this new A8 really is an excellent car.
