Shouldn't the title read "Saab working on a Mini rival" since the A1 is just Audi copy of a Mini.

Audi A1 rival? I can't decide whether it makes sense or not. On one hand it's easy to steal sales of a car that doesn't sell well. On the other it might mean there isn't a very large market for it.

Joe, sales of the A1 haven't begun yet. Maybe you're thinking of the A3. For what it's worth, Audi has set its A1 target at 80,000 for the 1st year.

First of Joe, we are talking Europe here in which the A3 is the benchmark in its class as the A3 created the entry level premium class. As for not selling well, not sure where you get that myth. In Europe, the A3 outsells easily the 1-series, the mini, the a-b classes, and everyone else in the class handily.

A1 rival??? This dude is way over his head when it comes to competing against the big fish. SAAB has never earned its respect on U.S soil. Look at Hyundai...they deserve better props because the stepped up on their game. SAAB...didnt do jack squat yet.
