Guy trades a $1.6 million Bugatti Veyron for a $100k Corvette ZR1
We might say that a Texas dealer made a best deal of the decade… it just accepted the trade-in of a red and black $1.6 million Bugatti Veyron for a $100,000 Corvette ZR1.

First of all, the Bugatti can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.4 seconds and has a top speed of 253 mph while the Corvette sprints to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds while the top speed achieved is 205 mph. So, honestly we can’t understand why the heck you want a ZR1 instead of a Bugatti Veyron?

lol uhm yeah Im sure 0-60 times werent a factor in such a trade..... thats hilarious as your logic of why you dont understand why someone would trade the Bugatti im sure its a logical reason

it's not logical, it's not a matter of which car is better than which, but the price difference is just retarded. Why didn't the Veyron owner just sell it, that way he could've got 10 ZR1s if he wanted or just buy one and have 1.5 million more to spare...this type of trade astounds me, makes absolutely no sense...maybe it's a fake Veyron, other than that I can't see why anyone would be so daff

It is logical.......most people dont choose cars based on which is faster thats just stupid. Maybe an enthusiast but because of the price difference of the 2 cars you could guess it had something to do with money. Secondly, when you trade in a car the dealership doesn't keep the rest of the different lol are you serious? He clearly would be pocketing whatever the difference between his trade and the ZR1 not sure where you got its an even trade and all you walk away with is a car if your car is worth more than what your trading it on. LIke I said a man with that much money, Im sure he had something else in mind other than speed when trading....

Deal of the decade, how 'bout the deal of the century. The tires and rims alone are 60k. Obviously, there's some information left out of this story.

I guess somebody didn't tell him he could have gotten 16 ZR1s for his 1 Veyron...

Life just isn't fair...

When you get into the performance specs that these types of cars dwell in, and you drive them on normal roads. Chances are you are using maybe 10% of the cars potential anyways.

Aside from that, the article is so lame as it tries to justify a Veyron vs. a ZR-1. Guesses can range from;

1) He wanted to buy American and help the economy.

2) He bought the Veyron to hold him over till the ZR-1 came out finally.

3) He hit some tough times and needed the cash back on the Veyron so he sold it and paid bills with the excess cash.

4) Veyron was a lemon. (hey it could happen)

Way to many reasons.

Why is it hard to believe the Veyron requires lots of fixing? It's not like they are using standard tried tested and true vw parts in it. Paying 10k per tire I'd assume all the other maintenance costs would be astronomical.

Who's to say?..........maybe the ZR1 is just BETTER than the Veyron...

Then again, maybe not..

Well you can't drive the Veyron the tires last 5000 miles and cost 30,000 to replace. You can drive the hell out of a corvette everyday as long as it doesn't snow.
