GM planning to add the latest technology to its next-generation full-sized pickups
General Motors Co.’s next generation of full-sized pickups will be installed with the latest technologies, including adaptive cruise control and Bluetooth connectivity.

GM may also offer a flexible electronics system that is compatible with a wide range of aftermarket devices beyond MP3 players and mobile phones. Rick Spina, GM’s global vehicle line executive for full-sized trucks, said that the technology when it comes to electronics moves very quickly. However, GM will continue to use the basic formula for the next-generation, restyled and re-engineered Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, that are expected to arrive in 2012.

Chevy has a lot of catching up to do. There is a big battle between DODGE and Ford and Chevy has been behind. The new Duramax [Isuzu] has a new design but still has a weak crank and rods. The frame tech Chevy is doing is something Dodge started back on the late 90s. Both Ford and Chevy need urea injection in there Diesels and the Cummins does not until 2015. A bunch of fancy electronic wizz-bang stuff is ok but not why those that buy trucks look at first.

As long as there's no unintended acceleration, go for it Chevy.
