V8-powered Audi R8 Spyder in the works

Back in September 2009 the Audi R8 Spyder made its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show and made quite a buzz with its impressive 5.2-liter V10 engine. But what if you want this car without the big V10 engine found also on the Lamborghini LP560-4? Well, it appears that Audi is considering the answer of this question and will offer the R8 Spyder with the 4.2-liter V8 engine found also on the brand new Audi RS 5 which will be unveiled officially at this year’s Geneva Motor Show.

Awesome, I can't never get enough of the R8. But shouldn't this version have come out before the V10 spyder? Seems only natural...

Doesn't matter. The R8 variants won't beat my new turbo :). I miss my R8 though, it received so many stares, had a great sounding v8, and great quality. I'd imagine the open top an even better experience.
