Report: Bmw M1 will not be built! You will get a 135is though!

According to the latest reports it appears that the long-rumored Bmw M1 will not make it into production, and this is the final decision of the Bavarian manufacturer. But! There is a but, yes! Bmw will build the 135is, a sportier version of the 1-series, just like the recently launched 335is. “If we do something, it’ll be a 135is like we’ve done with the Z4 and the 3 Series,” the source told with a wink.

Makes sense - the current 135i is already close to an M3 in performance, an M version of the 1-series would probably clean a M3's clock.
A 135is will come very close to an M3s performance..
