Aston Martin DBS by EDO
EDO Competition released the 2010 Aston Martin DBS upgrade performance package.

A luxury sports car The Aston Martin DBS, upgraded by edo competition – a truly luxurious sports car.

The 12-cylinder flagship from Aston Martin already produces 517 horsepower and boasts a top speed of more than 300 km/h (186 mph). Improving on those numbers while underlining the elegance and beautiful design of this British knockout and strengthening its sporting credentials was the goal declared by edo competition.

The power output was tackled first. It was agreed that 517 hp and 570 Nm (420 ft-lb) are not quite enough. The engine control unit was modified via software recalibration. Thanks to a new high performance exhaust system, special catalytic converters and high flow air filters, power output was increased to an impressive 550 hp and 600 Nm (442 ft-lb). This is enough power to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.1 seconds and continue on to a top speed of 320 km/h (199 mph). As a matter of principle all modifications performed by edo competition are calibrated and verified on a dynamometer. This way the true power output can be documented.

Bentley GT Coupe and the DBS are closer as competition than anything. The other closest rival would be the S-Class coupe (CL-Class). Out of these three, the DBS is the most sporty. It's more of a GT car than a true sports car like a Porsche, Ferrari, McLaren 0or Lamborghini so you can't exactly compare.

Aston is by far the most sexiest brand in the automotive industry in terms of class, performance and styling. 4.1 seconds is slow to you guys? it's not slow at all. Heck, even 5 seconds is still fast. Sometimes it's not about the numbers but the experience. I've reached 3.4 seconds with ease in my new 911 turbo and compare it to my 'slower' 4.7 R8 but realistically it's equally as fun to drive.

Great job by EDO to enhance some numbers. An awesome car.

Inline6 I understand your point but you have to remember the British Ferrari is McLaren and not Aston...this is FACT as they can tackle Ferraris and overtake them. Which Ferrari kept the fastest car in the world record for almost 2 decades? Lets not bring F1 in, we are talking about roadcars. Aston's are more majestic tourers and things of beauty than outright speed monsters eve though they are not slow by any means. I for one cannot wait for the over 700bhp DBX which should give the Ferrari GTO a run for the money and look better at it! Of course, the Ferrari will kill it but then will you drive a Ferrari wearing the finest suit in the world? I sat in one like that once and will not do it again...

So you're saying the SLR and variants are heavy and slow? Have you seen the McLaren SLR 722 before? it can out pace a Murcielago SV.
