I wonder what type of horespower a hybrid 12 cil will produce? It will be a monster if anywhere near as efficient as the Toyota ones.

Why?

The customer base is buying a Ferrari for the name, the performance, the heritage etc. If Ferrari want's to be green, do it through FIAT with their extensive range, especially since the brand is coming to the US.

Sounds a bit daft to me - are sales down? Maybe they figure all these tree hugging Hollywood types with switch from their Prius's.

well, i love ferraris as much as any other gearhead.

BUT, with the feds mandating higher fleet mpg figures soon, maybe they could face being completely shut out of the u.s. market.

plus, considering typical ferrari mpgs, maybe doing this they can avoid having ALL their cars hit with the gas guzzler taxes?
