SPIED: Chevrolet's Next-Gen Malibu Gets Exposed

General Motor's filed for a patent for an up and coming design. Strangely enough it looks exactly like the Chevrolet Malibu prototype I saw in Detroit late last summer. Hence, the Malibu has been exposed just like the SLS Roadster.

Although I cannot remember every bit of its design, I do recall it having the four taillights and a Cruze-like grille. There is also one distinct bit about its interior that I cannot shake out of my mind. I remember it very vividly, but that is not a positive thing. You'll see eventually, that is if they stick with their interior design themes.

Fact: these official drawings of an unnamed Chevrolet sedan were filed with the U.S. patent office by General Motors. And well, that's where the facts end and the speculations start. Looking at the photos, we assume that this mystery Chevrolet four-door saloon with the Camaro-inspired rear-end design is either a mid- or full-size sedan.

And while we know for sure that General Motors is readying a redesign for its Camry-fighting Chevrolet Malibu, we're not at all certain that this is the car depicted here...

Funny how I have read comments that ranged from C-class to Fusion, but I have yet to see anyone simply say that it's the Opel Insignia or the Buick Regal with a Camaro-Cruze-like back.

The next Malibu is suppose to shrink a bit in size. With that said, there is nothing else this could be except the Impala.

Its going to be a typical Chevy. It sells pretty good so im sure they will be a little on the conservative side when messing with a good thing.
