Former Ford and Vw marketing executive to head the Fiat brand in U.S.
Chrysler Group has announced that the Fiat brand in North America will be headed by Laura Soave, a former Ford and Volkswagen marketing executive. She will be responsible for reintroducing Fiat to North America.

The present plans call for the Fiat 500 minicar to be the only Fiat vehicle sold in North America. The 500, which will be introduced this December, will be produced in Chrysler’s Toluca, Mexico plant. The 500 will go on sale in some Chrysler dealerships. Soave will report directly to Sergio Marchionne, CEO of both Chrysler Group and Fiat Auto. Similar to the chiefs of the Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram and Mopar brands, Soave will have profit and loss responsibility for the Fiat business in North America.

I feel like the 500 isn't going to do as good as they are expecting.

They are coming back to the U.S.! Which brings back the sweet ole Fiat memory of my youth. My dad's Fiat used to have some design features that I found peculiar when I was a kid. Both turn signals flashed on the instrument panel when right or left is switched on and the leaky roof during the rainy days. Ole sweet Fiat. The blinker design also reminds me of the minimalist era of merc of the late 90s, which had what I called a nonexistential seatbelt indicator that only flashed for five seconds when the key was in ignition but didn't give out any flashing warning or anything when you did not buckle up. What a perfect duet! Maybe Fiat would be more innovative this time around.
