SPIED: Is Chevy's Camaro Drop-Top Going To Hammer Away At Ford's New Mustangs?
Carscoop reports:

A pre-production version of the upcoming 2012 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible was caught on the road with its soft-top in the wrong position for this time of year in Michigan by a member of the Camaro5 forum.

The camera-phone scoopster claims the driver of the test car told him that the Camaro Convertible would be in U.S. dealer showrooms by next April, something that has already been confirmed by GM officials.

The Camaro is a good looking car, as is the Challenger and the Mustang. Of the three, however, I believe the Mustang has the best styling. My bet is that it will age better then the other two, both of which have more of a 'caricature' look to them which, while trendy at this moment, will not stand up over time.

A modern Challenger convertible (if produced) will look great in black.

They all look great, I am more interested what car will be a better performer. the mustang has always out performed the Camero on the track.

that's not true, at all. the Camaro has always been more powerful, and the Camaro has dominated the Mustang with wins on the track since the days of trans-am racing back in the late 60s...

The current Mustang with its optional track pack is said to handle better and be more fun on a track than the Camaro, but the Camaro's torque advantage still gets it around the track in less time.

I have always liked the Cameros better, When ever I go to the race track I have seen the Mustang win almost every time in 1/4 mile racing, 10-1, I have not followed Trans Am racing but I will take your word for it, all the best.
