SPIED: Mercedes-Benz's Updated SLK To Get The SLS Treatment
Well, it appears that Mercedes-Benz is going to go with the flow and continue expanding their new design language throughout their lineup. The key component: the huge SLS-like grill.
Now, we know it will definitely be making appearances in the updated SL, updated SLK and forthcoming CLS.
Two questions have sprung to mind:
1) Does this huge grill work on the SLS' baby brother, the SLK?
2) Does this dilute the significance of the SLS' styling and tradition brought from the 1950s SL's?
Not sure? Make sure to click "read article" where you will be led to Auto Motor Und Sport's gallery of 50 spy photos of the new SLK...

Is it the SLS grill or the Dodge ram grill?

Dodge Ram grill. Again, I love German cars but Mercedes and BMW are doing very bad on design.

Such big and bland styling cues don't look good on small cars. Something like a really big nose on a smallish face. It looks odd.
SLS got a long bonnet so a big grille somewhat adjusts and also the history connection but i am not sure what the SL and especially SLK would look like with that bland huge one bar grille. MB please at least give 2 bars as an option like before.

Doesn't it dilute the unique appeal of the SL and SLS if the theme is so redundant in their entry level model?
