FIRST Official Photos: Is The All-New 2011 Kia Optima The Coolest Looking Kia Ever?
Carscoop reports:

Getting ready to debut its tiger-style in New York is the Kia Optima or, in other markets' case, the Magentis. Set to go on sale this Fall (Spring 2011 in Europe), the new Optima is clearly light years ahead of the outgoing model in regards to looks.

Big news other than the leap forward in design is that, much like the recently-debuted Sportage, the new model is "longer, wider, and lower"; that seems to be the name of the game.

This, along with its longer wheelbase, will provide more space in order to go up against D-segment top dogs like the Passat, Camry, and Mondeo.

Considering that the Optima is essentially Kia's tasty take on cousin Hyundai's Sonata

"The Coolest Looking Kia Ever"

That's like saying "The best light beer ever!"

Looks good all around. Props to Kia for bringing good design into the reasonably priced car range.

Better than the last one, but side profile looks like the Buick LaCrosse.

Look like a Ford to me. Very similar to a Ford. I wish they would they would stop copying and pasting design. I know all car automakers copy each other, but they also add a special design cue to destinct themselves other brands.

Is there a such thing as a cool KIA?

That is too good to be true. The Japanese brands are now getting more and more boring. That bodes the death of Camry!!

better than the Camry and Accord isn't saying much. the Camry is bland and featureless, the Accord is awkward and just plain ugly.

I'm impressed nice step forward for Kia...Looks like some of the Japanese fan boys are cranky, probably as good a sign as any that the Koreans are making strides.

Umm, I've already seen this car on dealer lots. It's called the Hyundai Sonata. Still a good looking Kia.

Interesting C pillar area. Overall, very nice for what it is (affordable midsize sedan).

(on a side note: they could have kept those side vents)
