SPIED: BMW's All-New 1-Series Prototypes Spotted

With plenty of hubbub surrounding the on-again/off-again BMW M1/1iS, we are going to take a look into something that is not all hearsay.

Spy photographs of the all-new 1-Series set to make its appearance in 2011. Likely, the States will get theirs in 2012.

Boasting a new front grill, headlights, and LEDs here and there, the window lines and Hofmeister kink are said to remain intact.

Although it is way too early to see the details of this prototype, I am sure little snippets of the updated 1-Series will emerge soon enough...

Hopefully they will be adding more weight, numbing up the chassis, replacing more mechanical controls with drive by wire, putting more interior features in control of IDrive. After all, they have to continue their quest to create the ultimate Playstation machine.
