2010 Kia Forte Koup receives ‘R’ performance package
No one’s complaining about how Kia’s Forte Koup looks. In fact, it already has a striking appearance but Kia just wants to make it look even better and now offers the compact two-door for the Canadian market with the new SX- and EX-R package.

The package, which is based on a standard Koupe, visually ties the Koup to the cars Kia entered into the Grand Am series earlier this year. The four-piece body kit includes a new front lip, side sills, and rear decklid spoiler. The car’s stance gives off a menacing impression. Ride height is lowered with the use of new springs. Its stock wheels are replaced by 18-inch aluminum pieces shod in Yokohama S-drive rubber.

looks nice, but Kia should've held off on this styling-only "R" package, so they could introduce that turbo they've been hinting at along with the styling upgrade and create a true sports package.

Decent design tweaks, but what about actual performance improvements.
So KIA Forte is the new Civic.

You know, I shouldn't be surprised by what some people open their asses and post on this board. So Kia is the only brand that uses R as a sport brand? VW just announced, with much hoopla, that R is their new sport brand. Nissan has done it with their GT-R. Bentley did it with the Turbo R. Suzuki does it with their GSX-R. It is perfectly okay to not post, you know. Just click the back button or shut the damn computer down.
