STUD or DUD: Has Subaru's 2011 WRX Changed From An UGLY Duckling Into A Beautiful Swan?

While some may or may not appreciate Subaru, which is essentially Japan's Audi, it seems that these guys are being a bit too harsh on the updated for 2011 WRX.
If you did not catch recent headlines, the new WRX is slated to be given a widebody treatment, which entails a wider track. The guys at TTAC think that it is a bit too "swollen," but this writer thinks its muscular treatment fits the character of the car.
Although TTAC says that it works better in hatch form, the automotive community seemed to lambast the STI when the current generation debuted.
Either way, we want to know what YOU think.
Is it a move in the right direction for the brand's more aggressive performer OR does it appear a bit too much like a steroid-laden bodybuilder?
