GM working on a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 engine
As you may know already Ford made quite a buzz with its new twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 engine and it appears that this new engine already made the competition (GM) to develop its own range of fuel-efficient V6 powerplants.

GMI confirmed the fact that GM is currently working on a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 engine dubbed ‘LF3’. The new engine is expected to make its debut in 2011 or early 2012 in the Cadillac XTS but sources also confirmed that the new engine could be used on the next-generation Chevrolet Camaro.

Step 1: Purchase Ford Taurus SHO
Step 2: Copy it.

Way to be late to the game.

and who was Ford copying than??? and was also late to the game? lol so whats your point GM did the twin turbo thing years ago with its turbo 2.8 BEFORE ecoboost was out. Who cares turbos are turbos its a good way to get more power out of an engine and they needed an engine like this especially for cadillac its a huge gap between the 300hp CTS and 556hp CTSV clearly someoen would want something in between adequate and excess

The 2.8T V6 isn't a twin turbo design. It also doesn't have DI.

I don't see either company as copying the other in these engine designs.

as if ford invented turbo charging... smaller motors with turbos are the way the whole industry will need to go to meet the new fuel economy standards and keep power up.
