VIDEO: Dream Car Shakedown, Audi R8 V10 Spyder Vs. Ferrari California Vs. Jaguar XKR Vs. Porsche 911 Turbo Cab
Oh-kay, so let's set up the situation.
Money is
no
object, you're shopping for a fun convertible and you are going to choose from an Audi R8 V10 Spyder, Ferrari California, Jaguar XKR and a Porsche 911 Turbo.
Tough life, huh?
All of the above are very capable automobiles, what it comes down to is a matter of subjectivity and which makes the best drop-top. Remember, now these ragtops -- and one metal fella -- are lazier than their coupe counterparts while also becoming a bit more flexible.
Follow along Evo's Chris Harris as he shoots them down, one by one, to award the best convertible.
Do you agree with Harris' ultimate decision?

I am not a fan of any of these cars...I own an Audi R8 V8, and I have driven the R8 V10, and while the V10 is obviously faster, the V8 (full option) is just as good for less to be honest..The Jaguar XKR is just not competitive enough and frankly I would'nt fit it to be a "dream car" on anyones list..The California is for women, and who in there right mind would buy a Turbo Cab when the Turbo Coupe is better, especially the newly released Turbo S?

the same reason why someone would buy a cabrio over a coupe what kind of question is that???, The XKR new engine or not is a GT first it doesnt fit in this category of car it is a luxury grand tourer and drives as such comparing it will all out sports cars is a bit rediculous its not suppose to have the same dynamics. It is a dream car nevertheless at $100,000 for someone just as the Mercedes SL, or BMW M6 is.

Inline6, did you hear Chris Harris's comments about the the California? "It was comprehensively outpointed by the R8 and the Porsche".

I am a proud owner of a brand new 911 Turbo with PDK and a happy former owner of the V8 R8 (which I sacrificed for the Porsche). I can't say that I am biased with this comparo. I am a fan of all these cars. I'd love to have one of each!. They are all suitable for different outings :D.
