2012 Hyundai Accent caught
Hyundai Accent has been caught without camouflage for the first time. It looks very much alike the 2011 Sonata sedan.

How do you see the midsized Mazda6 in that subcompact car design? The two look almost nothing alike (save # of doors and tires).

I did. OMG-stop the presses!!! More than 1 company is using a grill that is somewhat V shaped!!!
Seriously this thing bears a MUCH closer resemblence to the just updated Sonota that if it should be compared to anything it is the Sonota.

Quite impressive for a Hyundai. Maybe they'll drop their lamentable econocar label once and for all.
i just think the front end is a bit over the top though.

@huu76: At first I wasnt going to (I admit! lol) but I did click on your link. I see what you are talking about. The front end designs are sort of based off of the V-shaped grill on both cars (at least from my POV). Anyway, so this is the Accent. What about the Elantra? I thought that was suppose to be redesigned first.

I don't know if I would put Subaru in the same segment as Mazda unless we are talking strictly about sales. The new Legacy is still not catching the amount of buyers they would like as compared to the last Legacy (especially in it's Spec B form, yumm). But I can see where Mazda and Hyundai are competitors directly. The new Accent though? It almost looks bigger than that, like an Elantra. So I will hold my breath until I see a picture of the backside with the Accent nametag.
Until then it looks more close in size to an Elantra than the compact Accent. The Elantra is in the Civic, 3, Focus, etc. crowd while the Accent falls into the Versa, Fit segments.

I've seen the new Elantra in person. The new Sonata, Elantra and Accent all look very similar to me. I would prefer if they would vary their design a little more. Homogeneous car lines aren't historically very popular in the US, with the exception perhaps of BMW.
