RENDERED SPECULATION: Is This What You Want The Updated 6-Series To Look Like?
BMWBlog reports:

Another BMW model to receive a full makeover this year, is the BMW 6 Series. Due to launch in 2011, the 6 Series family will continue to offer its well known variants: Coupe, Cabrio and M6. Several rumors around the brand mention the posibility of a fourth model to join the 6 Series, a four-dour coupe model that could carry the GT name.

With just a few months before the official unveiling, automotive journalists continue to innovate in the rendering space. This latest computer generated image gives us avantgarde look of the new 6er. While not extremely obvious, some CS Concept design elements can be seen in the rendering below...

I hope not. I loathe the CS body line lifted from the CS that started with the Dodge Charger.

I would seriously doubt it. I can't see it having that MB E-class rear fender, or that sedan-like front end, not when BMW has said the new 6 will be the sexiest car they've had in years.

I hope not because the front headlights look very similar to the currently BMW 3-Series. The current BMW 6-Series is very beautiful and destintive. So I hope the next BMW 6-Series coupe will be as well.

hope it looks like a step up from the current 6, with lower weight. I aspire to own a 6 one day, and preferably the M6. I hope this will go lighter have the same engine as the new M5. twin turbo's, lighter weight, add some carbon- roof maybe, use a lot of aluminum bring weight down to 3600 lbs instead of 4000. They can do it!

It looks a lot better. That's all that mattered. Anything is better than that bangle-butt.

This would be perfect for an all new 3 series coupe design, but not for the 6.

Yet another rendering by someone who does not work for BMW, imagining what the new design "might" look like. Let's comment on someone else's wild-assed guess.

I'm a sexist. The more I see BMWs being portrayed with females driving them, the less their appeal becomes as a sporting machine. Unless it really isn't a sporting machine?

I'm not sure about the 6 series coupe rendering, but the 6 series GT 4 door is stunning.

Anything would be better than what they have now.
