FACT or FICTION: Do HOT Cars Attract HOT Women?

FACT or FICTION: Do HOT Cars Attract HOT Women?
Probably one of the biggest myths out there is that girls like cars, particularly the flashy ones. Well, I am about to extinguish that because to be quite frank, I have yet to have that experience.

I have driven exotics, luxo-cruisers, sports cars, convertibles, you name it I have driven it. With exception of a dump truck, which reminds me I have to schedule one of those into the press fleet.

No, but seriously.

What is comical is the common stereotype about hot cars attracting hot women. Usually, it does not jive. For instance, if you roll up in a Corvette the perception is "douchebag," according to my lady friends. After debating why, it seems that women find it too ostentatious and obnoxious.

It is kind of like wearing a finely tailored suit with a brash, gold belt buckle. It is the wrong kind of attention.

Ironically, its the cutesy cars that seems to attract the right kind of attention. I recall getting numerous waves and striking conversation with women when I was driving a prototype diesel Smart ForTwo. Who would have thought a Smart would be a helluva conversation piece?

Did women think I was anti-compensating? We may never know.

Regardless, we want to know about your experiences. Was it the HOT car that reeled them in, or was it something a bit more delicate.

Yes. As a friend of mine said to me once, "if only I'd known this I would have bought a Porsche 10 years ago."

well, if you drive a beater like me, it does compensate by dressing well. a lady will forget about the beater if she sees a well dressed young man step out (esp in a suit) which is kind of hard to come by given the hip hop style trends (check out www.artofmanliness.com )

haha yeah right. a well dressed man stepping out of a beater.....that sure goes together. dont forget the car you're driving usually shows off ur wealth, too.

i'd be embarrassed to step out of a beater being in a suit especially.

It sad but it the true yes it does. Unless you're a really good looking SOB, than yes if you drive a nice car you have a lot of beautiful want to talke to you. Because they think you have money.

The question was does Hot cars attract Hot Women? So yes does. Anything with Lambo, Ferrari, Bentley, BMW, Audi, MB, Lexus, Audi and Aston Martin will attract some of the Hottest women a live.

Hey who said I'm marring them? I just want to have fun.

Lexus;
Yes, you shouldn't be "marring" women. In most Staes, that'd be felony..

I dont think hot is the right word..The word is "expensive"...The more expensive the car, the hotter the women you attract and the more of them...Role around in an Infiniti you're sure to pick up one decent girl, role around in a range rover sport, you will pick up 5 girls, 2 of them will be hot..You role around in a Ferrari you will pick up 8, 4 of them hot and the other 4 super hot..

Women are attracted to money (who isn't).

Hot women are women.

Hot cars imply money.

Therefore hot women are attracted to hot cars.

QED.

The more expensive the car the more women that you are going to attract, When I drove my friends Ferrari around town hot women would literally be screaming and jumping up and down while waving, it was amusing and sad at the same time, the sad part was that it wasn't my car, lol.

I've driven Porsches my whole life and never had hot girls throwing themselves at me. In fact, it seems to me that the only people interested in hot cars are late teen to early twenty guys. If you're gay, maybe this is good.

If you really want the secret to meeting hot girls that are out of your league, borrow a puppy or a small fluffy dog and walk them in a crowded park on a spring day. Cute little dogs are like catnip to girls.

that's because Porsches appeal at a male level - they're about engineering excellence. What they lack is passion - no matter how great a car they might be, a Porsche will never turn heads like one of their Italian competitors. To a Porsche owner and fan, there's an abundence of heritage and passion, but to average man and woman on the street it's just an expensive car and one of many. Seeing a Ferrari, Lambo, Aston etc is a rare experience - a head turning event. Seeing a Porsche is... well... dull. Unless you happen to love Porsches. They're a victim of their own sucess in this regard - the cars are so good, they sold in relatively high volume, and as such as they dilute the rarity and sense of occassion.

Women are attracted to what an expensive car represents- the ability to provide through money. I do not think it is true that a hot car necessarily attracts hot women; it may be that a man that can afford a hot / expensive car can be more discriminating in his choices.

Having said that, I have seen studies that show that people usually arrive at mate choices of equal general attractiveness as themselves. When this is not the case, there is sometimes something is off. For example, when a handsome male marries a less attractive and heavier woman, he has a higher likelihood of actually being a homosexual. So, if you take a car as a proxy for money as a proxy for the ability to provide, then you could argue that perhaps there is some sliding scale or range over which women find certain cars attractive- i.e. certain women may be attracted to certain kinds of cars.

A hot car won't work unless the guy driving it is at least attractive.

Just in case if No one up here notice, I am ignoring Joe_Limon because I only reply to intelligence comment. The last time I check a brand new Lexus cost almost as much or more than a BMW, Audi, or MB in the same class.

A fully loaded Lexus IS350 cost just as much as a BMW 335i, Audi A4 or MB C-Class. So does there other car.

Normally I would not chime in on a post like this but I'm going to make an exception this time.

Most of the women I know think it's funny when a guy trys to overcompensate with a car. A nice car is one thing. Drive a nice import sedan, not a B segment car but at least a C segment and most women will see you as normal, confident, successful guy. Go overboard with something crazy and red flags start popping up everywhere. Bright colors like orange, lime green, yellow, etc can be interpreted as a guy with a "look at me" insecurity, one that craves attention constantly. Lifted trucks, while they may appeal to some women, tend to brand men as "angry white guys", uneducated and probably a little racist. (Don't kill the messenger guys, I've heard this from many) The flashier the car or truck, the more insecure a guy looks to most women. This can go a few steps further is you will. The bigger your boat, the meaner your dog, the higher calibor of assault weapon in your closet, all demonstrate the same insecurities which do nothing but frighten most women away. I think the motivation for many of these types of boy toys may not be to attract women at all but rather to intimidate other guys away from the girl they already have or the girl they may have at the moment. Just a thought. I'm off my soapbox now thank you.

Lifted truck owners are un educated angry white guys, lol I am not a fan of lifted princesses either, (I have owned a few) I know a lot of non white guys that drove lifted trucks and I know a handful of rich educated great guys that are 4x4 nuts like me.

YESSS!

I know this ugly-as-sin dude who looks like the East-Indian version of Kermit the Frog, drives a Ferrari, and this mo-fo nails the hottest little piece of irish/italian tail you've ever seen.

Chicks are dumb. Not all, but most. So buy a Porsche Boxster (because they don't know the difference)... and 7 out 10 will think you're a jackass, but the other 3 with blow you.
