With Volvo Firmly In The Clutches Of The Chinese, Are You Ready For Maybach To Be Next?

According to a report on one of China’s largest automotive websites, auto.sina.com, BYD has expressed interest to acquire the Maybach-brand from Mercedes Benz as the Germans will pull the plug in one or two years.

An unmaned BYD official told Sina.com that BYD was very interested in Maybach and would “launch the acquisition” as soon as Benz makes the final decision to quit.

Oh my God People open our eyes , We lost Volvo and probably Maybach is to much if we want prestige we need to keep things and improve quality, don't give thing for money. This is a dangerous movement because now China has the Volvo technique for theirs cars and getting worse if they also take in the future a Maybach detail , quality and secret. What happens where is the Volvo power and Mercedes power. This is very dangerous.

Welcome to the fire sale of the decade. Jaguar, Land Rover, Volvo, and possibly Maybach. All sold to nations who want instant prestige at a bargain price.

Only Aston Martin, and SAAB went to owners that know how to produce quality products.

Mercedes will NOT sell the Maybach name to the Chinese. Those BYD folks need to stop smoking those "funny" cigarettes.

Lenovo and Apple products are made in China.

Maybach would probably do better with Chinese backers.
