SPIED: BMW's 6-Series Coupe Snapped, Am I The Only One Seeing A Lot Of 7-Series Here?

SPIED: BMW's 6-Series Coupe Snapped, Am I The Only One Seeing A Lot Of 7-Series Here?
I can't be the only one seeing a lot of 7-Series in this upcoming 6'er...

Take a closer look at the spy photographs, which show a large grill and 7-Series-inspired headlights.

The C-pillar is covered up WAY too much, so we cannot get a good idea of the Hofmeister kink -- assuming it will exist in the F12. And, although keen eyes will be sure this has a folding metal roof, even better eyes will spot the large B-pillar on the passenger side in the profile images.

This 6 is shaping up quite fast and is looking ready to debut at an auto show near you.

BUT, we want to know, is the 7-Series good or bad inspiration for the upcoming F12 6-Series?

Let us know in the comments below...

E90Post reports:

We bring you the first ever sighting of the next generation 6-series coupe (F12)! Until now, only the 6-series convertible prototype has been spotted. This 6-series coupe prototype clearly differs from the convertible in the larger rear window, different side windows, and large B-pillars.

If you'll recall, BMW North American CEO, Jim O’Donnell has called this new generation 6-series the "best looking BMW in years," and it's certainly shaping up to be a sleek and well proportioned coupe!

Mercedes promised us their sexiest car with the new E-class coupe; BMW promised us their sexiest car with the next-generation 6-series; Lexus promised us their sexiest car with the next-generation SC.

Mercedes: succeeded
Lexus: their LF-A Roadster Concept is beautiful, but I'm ready for something new
BMW: I hope the new 6er has elegance but without sacrificing attention to details. From the picture above, I see a car with great presence, but it's really lacking something.

"but it's really lacking something." Yeah, it's wrapped in camouflage so you can't see the car. Brilliant commentary.

Spoke with someone who saw the new 6er in the flesh (metal), their response was "jaw droppingly beautiful". My expectation? Please see my user name.

I agree i also see lot of 7 series in that profile especially front end till B pillars. Seems like BMW is going S class and CL route. New 6 series to be the coupe version of 7 series.

I personally see a lot of CS concept in that front.
