2011 Acura TSX Sport Wagon breaks cover in New York
Previously announced, the all-new 2011 Acura TSX Sport Wagon made its debut today at the New York Auto Show. The new 2011 TSX Sport Wagon is the perfect car for those folks with a growing family or who have an active lifestyle and promises to offer a comfortable and spacious cabin with seating for up to five adults.

Clearly inspired by the 2010 Honda Accord Sport Wagon, the car features a chiseled, muscular body and sloping roofline and the design is completed by the 17-inch, 5-spoke aluminium wheels. Powering the new car is the 2.4-liter, DOHC i-VTEC, inline four-cylinder engine mated to a Sequential SportShift 5-speed automatic transmission fit with steering-wheel mounted paddle shifters.

I thought that was an Audi for a sec. Nevermind... That rear pillar looks like an RDX.

Except it has no SH-AWD...so kinda limited appeal

Odd omission. I wonder if an AWD version is planned.

Could have cleaned Avant's weaser 4 cylinder clock if they did SH-AWD and V6.

The grille actually has been revised - a bit cleaner, smaller than the TSX sedan. It would be ideal if it had the V6, SH-AWD, 6spd MT/AT in a number of configurations but honestly the market for this is so small I don't see why they would bother to offer any of these unless they were SERIOUS about competing with Audi, Mercedes, and BMW - out of any of the Asian companies, Honda in my eyes was the closest to do so in the past. But that was the past - we all know how Acura has been a disappointment lately...

I would like to see this with a triptronic 6 speed, HID lights and two folding seats in the back for a total seating of seven if you needed it, Also Acura is going to have to keep up with Hyundai as far as HP and fuel mileage, The new Hyundai has almost 300hp and is larger with better MPG,this isn't even out yet and it is already behind in power and economy, they better come out with direct injection to keep up.

For the record I am a Honda/Acura fan, but the facts are the facts, its catch up time for Acura in power and economy, and the new direct injection, with a turbo charger is the way of the future for gas, Ford has also done this with success so far.

Let's not forget that it is a TSX model and the TSX ranges in the 28-33k range depening on options. So expect this to sit more closely to TL pricing when its all said an done. They will also offer the V6 now that it is available in the current TSX sedan.

Although I never understood SH-AWD or not why they could not drop some type of AWD system in the car. The TSX uses the same engine found in the Honda Element, wouldn't be hard to add the drivetrain.

I like it. Would I buy it??? Probably not. If it was an Accord w/manual, maybe. Too bad we have to put up with the Cross Tour over something simple like this.
