2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI breaks cover at the New York Auto Show
Subaru of America revealed today at the New York Auto Show the all-new 4-door version of its 2011 Impreza WRX STI. The new car promises to offer new styling as well as a revised suspension and lighter 18-inch wheels for even sharper handling.

Regarding the design of the new car, this features sharpened bumper corners and wider, blacked-out fog lamp nacelles to accentuate the “wide and low” profile, a newly designed front grille with black base, newly designed fenders (for the 4-door models) and a big rear trunk spoiler.

Just as I said in the covered picture. They are bringing the STi back to a sedan. They may still offer the hatch version but this will sell better I'm sure. Also fix your titling of the car. It is the STi, not STI. You can clearly see it on the back nameplates the i is lower case.

P.S. - I know it changed to STI in 06 but I still like the old spelling better.

According to the pictures it would appear that the wagon STi is still being offered up for 2011.

That seems really finicky, but BMW's latest car model names are even worse!

"The newly designed 18-inch aluminum wheels feature high-luster paint and weigh 17.6 lbs. less than the previous standard wheels"

This is a crock of S. The standard rims that come with the 08-10 STi weigh in at a boulder sized 27 lbs...WITHOUT tires! Figures they test the waters with a hatch STi then launch the 4 door years later. I'm not upset that they released the hatch as I prefer the 5 doors over the sedan. IMO The sedan with the fender flares isn't my cup of tea but to each his own.

You will have your people that like the new STi or hate them. My name is Rico Glover Subaru Internet manager at www.CrossCreekSubaru.com and www.CrossCreekSubaruBlog.com.
The new design gives you the old and the new combined. To order one at will take at least September to get it back if you order now.
