SPIED: Scion's tC Caught TESTING In The OC

SPIED: Scion's tC Caught TESTING In The OC
**Thanks to Fred Khaz for the spy photographs!

Caught roaming around Orange County sportin' some new skin was the 2011 Scion tC. This is particularly interesting since it debuted last week at the 2010 New York Auto Show, and was declared 001's pick for the car of the show.

Spy photographer, Fred Khaz, nabbed several shots of the car in camouflage as it appeared to be already undergoing testing around the OC.

Since that is the most likely environment for the car, as most buyers are on the younger side of the age chart, it is wise for Scion to skip Death Valley and Artic conditions. Oh-kay, I am merely kidding.

Enjoy the rest of shots after the jump...

Saw it at the NY auto show. Its disgusting, they definately went the wrong way with this design. The side looks like a squished XB. The front is very plain. The rear is plain as well.

I saw it yesterday at the show as well. Really not impressive, it made a good design too boxy and almost reflective of the xD or as stated above a squashed xB. Looks like Toyota managed to screw up another redesign. The new Matrix was a fail compared to the last model with no real hp advantages or even a solid XRS option. And at a price point where you can easily afford a MUCH MORE well equipped Mazda 3.

Between these guys and the outdated Honda Civic, the US small cars look amazing. I got to check them out yesterday, and the Cruze looks a lot better in person than in photos, and the coming Focus if anything like the Fiesta I sat in, then WOW! But the Civic felt dated, cheap materials, etc. alongside with it's Toyota offerings. They have a lot to do to get on par with whats coming from US automakers.

Why is this in camo and isnt this "testing" suppose to be done before a car makes a debut at an autoshow?
