Photo: Lotus to build superhatch based on the Esprit

I thought this car was NEVER going to be built, but was merely an example of how the new Lotus Versatile Vehicle Architecture would accomodate many model variants, from front-driven MPV's to rear-drive sports cars.

Does it actually say in the article that Lotus was planning to build it? Because Lotus is firmly denying any move.
