2011 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG U.S. price starting from $183,000

At the 2010 New York International Auto Show (NYIAS), Mercedes-Benz announced that its 2011 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG will be priced from $183,000 when it goes on sale in the US.

The SLS is powered by an AMG 6.2l V8 engine, which delivers 571hp (420 kW) at 6,800 rpm and a maximum torque of 650 Nm at 4,750 rpm.

This car will definitely have the performance number to back it up for sure. But I don't like the way it look, I think I would go with the Lambo Gallardo instead.

I feel sad for the SLR owners who had to go with the crappy interior with a heck lot of conspicuous plastic panels while all the SLS owners got something even better at less than half the price!

Interesting its cheaper than the SL65, its sorta hard to earmark a competitor for this car though the 599 has a V12 and is much more a performance car than the SLS, the gallardo really isnt direct competition either, its a unique supercar the close car in concept I guess would be the R8 V10 but this car is more classic and its traditional layout is alot more High performance GT. Either way nice car
