Awesome job Autospies! That was the most informative article to date. Even a full color picture this time, way to go! How about some specs here. I've never heard of a Pentastar engine (what a god awful crappy name), nor do I know what this new platform is. It looks like a freshen up more than a redesign anyways, but what would I know we've been hearing only about BMW for the last 6 months.

The Pentastar V6 was a program started by Chrysler before the Diamler takeover. It was ahead of its time with no exhaust manifolds [integrated into the cylinder head] no oil filter to go into landfills, very lite design with gas mileage and environmental concerns in mind. This engine is very versitle and can be used in many platforms. The program was axed by Diamler. Just proves where Chrysler was heading before Der-Diamler took over. It has been re-born with the multi-air tech included. Allpar.com has the full story. The Pentastar is a perfect name. And yes this is exciting.

Too bad it wasn't more off road ready, although a nice cross over.
