Ford launches ‘Swap Your Ride’ advertising campaign

Ford Motor Co.’s campaign, called “Swap Your Ride,” will start with over a dozen TV commercials that will show owners of rival brands praising Ford cars after taking week-long test drives.

According to a Ford spokesman, the campaign runs through May 31. These TV spots feature Mike Rowe, who hosts “Dirty Jobs” on the Discovery Channel and currently appears in Ford spots. Ford last ran Swap Your Ride commercials in 2007.

A Ford spokesman was offering $50 to test drive one of their vehicles within the next 30 days. I might go check out the 5.0 stang if its out by than.

I just seen two of these commercials last night when I was watching Letterman and then Fallon. The woman knocked on her friends door and said I took your CR-V and you have this Escape now. The other one showed another woman get her Murano swapped for an Edge. In no way do I think the woman at the end of the Edge commercial really said she doesnt want her Murano back. Well, idk for real. Maybe Ford really is that good these days. I want to trade my 300C for a Taurus SHO for a week.

Oh, off subject: They showed the Escape parking itself in the commercial. I didnt know Ford offered that on that vehicle! I thought it was just on the Lincoln.
