Nissan design chief to overhaul styling of the company’s sedans and compact cars
Being faced with fiercer competition, Nissan design chief Shiro Nakamura revealed plans to overhaul styling of the company’s sedans and compact cars.

Nakamura will give the cars in these segments a more consistent look, which is intended to make them stand out from the rest. We should expect the new design language to debut within the next two years.

"I'm a bitch, I'm a bitch
Oh the bitch is back
Stone cold sober as a matter of fact
I can bitch, I can bitch
`Cause I'm better than you
It's the way that I move
The things that I do"

You know, the Mercedes E class (with it's Hyundai inspired rear), Audi's A4, the Ford Fusion, Chevy Malibu, new 5 series, VW Passatt are all equally bland...

Nissan has some of the best vehicles on the road, but I have never liked their interior and exterior styling. They should go for that BMW AUDI-ish make alll the cars look alike system that seems to work. For Example take the GTR and the 350Z and expand off that.

Just like they did 8-10 years ago. They shouldn't of stop and rested on what they accomplished. Tsk, Tsk Nissan. Oh, how fast the market can sneak up on you.

I love the Maxima. It's one of the best looking mainstream sedans on the American roads, IMHO.

Focus on the interior. Nissan makes great cars but their interiors have always been behind the competition.

Nissan interiors have improved greatly I think. The interiors of the Murano and Maxima are worthy of the Infiniti brand, which in also is having great interiors (see the new M, EX and new QX). The Z's interior is also very solid. The days when Nissan = cheap interiors seems to be a thing of the past.

Not that bad in the maxima or morano. Its the Altima that lags big time. The interior of the altima is way behind the Honda accord and even looks cheaper than the Toyota Camry.

the pathfinder interior is horrible too. Much like the 4runner.

I like the Maxima and would buy one if they gave it bigger brakes and a 6 speed greerbox and an infiniti badge!
