Pagani says the totaled car was just a C9 engine tester
Instead of a Pagani C9 prototype as was first reported, the car that was wrecked on the Autobahn in Germany actually had a Zonda testing a C9 engine.

The Pagani Zonda is still an extremely expensive car, even without a prototype engine. The C9’s engine is believed to be a 700hp version of the Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series’ 6.0-liter twin-turbo V-12.

Once again. You were de-boosted and I dont understand why. I totally agree with you. Other than how impressive they are performance wise, that is the only beauty they behold. I could think of a hundred other things I'd rather look at.

On the subject of the article though, Im glad it was just an engine tester. I felt so bad for the test guy when I read he totaled a prototype vehicle. I thought for sure his job was done.
