Who Is He Talking About? McLaren's CEO CALLS OUT A Supercar, Says It Is A "Piece Of Junk"

Who Is He Talking About? McLaren's CEO CALLS OUT A Supercar, Says It Is A
GTspirit reports:

McLaren’s CEO, Ron Dennis, has cracked the reputation of the Bugatti Veyron by calling it ‘a complete piece of junk’. Beside that he also stated that he can look at a range of women and can see beauty in most of them, but he can’t look at a Bugatti and think positive about it. He continued:

"It’s just pig ugly, the Veyron doesn’t do anything for me. I’ve been looking at it for years, and I don’t see one single thing that makes me feel good."

What reason sir Dennis had for this is unknown, maybe it has something to do with the recent unveiling of his own MP4-12C Supercar...

Veyron has always been very strange and ugly looking, even inside. but no one in the industry wanted to say it. For that matter, more people need to start speaking out against the disaster that is contemporary Ferrari design.

Ron Dennis's opinion matters a lot. The guy has achieved so much and his company has produced undoubtedly some of the best road and racing cars of all time.
Interesting talk about Top gear's race which took place here in UAE. Wasn't expecting Top gear to do such thing to artificially make a car look so much quicker than it actually is.

The Veyron has a lot to its credit, but beauty isn't one of them.

There is a saying in yachting circles: "When a man walks towards or away from his yacht, he must think to himself, I have the most beautiful boat in the world." I believe that statement reflects the sentiment that if you're going to burn $10M on a boat, and then another $1M a year on operating costs, utility and status should not be the only things it has going for it.

The Veyron is a "One-Trick Pony": Fastest Production Car. And for that, you pay over $1M bucks, and you don't even get "pretty" as part of the package.

The Veyron is a hypercar. The singular focus to make it the (fill in the blank) in the automotive world is incredible. VW revived a dead brand, and sold this car to the super wealthy. And then came out with a targa version of the 16.4 and the owners bought another one, for more money. I give VW and Pech's vision particularly "well done gents".

The McLaren F1 was and always will be a great car. The 3-up driving configuration is brilliant and the use of the special BMW 6.1 liter S70/2 V-12 is one of the all-time greatest engine applications. I would be happy with either one I must say.

His comments is similar to those of the Mclaren F1 Designer Gordon Murray.

All it tells me is that they are Filled with Envy.

The F1 was a technological masterpiece at its launch, but was not a GT and was definitely not comfortable.

The Veyron is a technological Masterpiece, is a GT, and is Very Comfortable & Luxurious.

Instead of giving VW plaudits for what they achieved, they make stupid comments about Looks.

I DO NOT FIND THE F1 Beautiful. I DO FIND THE VEYRON GOOD LOOKING

And as i am part of the Buying Public i think my opinion matters more than that of Ron Dennis or Gordon Murray.

I've always said that the Bugatti isn't a looker either...

It's also too over-weight for it's own good..

but c'mon.. who wouldn't want 1000 ponies under their command?

I think Ron Dennis is overweight and ugly. He might be successful and i respect him for that, but he is still overweight and ugly.

Granted, the Veyron isn't perfect, but a piece of junk!?! Get real. Never thought of Dennis as such an attention. -1 McLaren.

Dennis wouldn't have dissed the Veyron unless he has a rival in the works. I agree with him about the Veyron, overrated supercar, I'd take the McLaren F1 anyday.
