In today's market, the iPad is just limiting the advancement of consumer technology. I just don't understand why competitors haven't stepped up, especially in advertising.

Auto makers already have better devices comming to markets real soon so you dont have to have some one hacking at your dash and hoping they can put it back together without sqeaking or voiding your warranty.

Look...

I currently own an iPad 64gb/WiFi and have an iPad 64gb/3g scheduled for shipment at the end of the month, and openly admit that they're intriguing devices that work relatively well as media consumption devices, but there's no task that the iPad performs that either my DROID or the spouse's iPhone doesn't do in a far more convenient/more mobile package.

Personally, I'm of the belief that iPad use in a vehicle should be relegated solely to back seat passengers due to potential that the excessive glare from the glossy display can accidentally impair the driver's vision, as well as the overall distraction that it presents for the driver.
