And the top ten hottest cars are?

In a list of the 10 hottest cars now on the market, six of the 10 are products of the Toyota Motor Co. The Prius tops the list and all three of Toyota's low-priced Scion models are on the list, as well.

Almost all those cars listed are pretty mediocre.

The Solstice is a rubbish sports car wrapped up in pretty sheetmetal, the Rav-4 is bland, The Scions look cheap, the Civic is ugly, The Escape is an average car at best, The Toyota Prius is a gimmock, the Lexus less economical than a Diesel Mercedes ML, and the Cooper is a cracking car but isn't exactly fresh to the market.

I agree with Autospies on most of the cars.
A hot car is not all about speed,style,performance,looks,a particular brand...etc

It should be a people's choice,a good seller,better value,great value for money, reliable,economical,quality meterials used inside and out....etc

These qualities make an ordinary car a real hot car/best car.

This article is clearly about the number of days a car sits in the lot and how many have sold thus far. No where does it use 'hot' in the connotation of visually stunning or performance-driven. Though I am surprised by the list, I am not surprised by toyota's overwhelming presense on the list of best-selling/fastest selling cars. They WILL be the largest auto manufacturer by the end of this year, all studies and statistics prove it. Im surpised the ford Escape Hybrid made it on the list, b/c where I live the ford dealership seems to always be overstocked. I know several people who have been able to purchase them at significantly below the MSRP.
