2010 Acura ZDX recalled due to a potential airbag problem

In a recent statement, Acura announced that it will recall 1,850 versions of its freshly launched 2010 ZDX crossover due to a potential airbag problem.

Acura will inspect the inside of the dashboard surface material because it appears that the passenger side airbag of the 2010 ZDX will not deploy properly. Although no incidents have been reported, a recent manufacturing quality check revealed that some vehicles do not have the necessary laser-cut scoring on the underside of the dashboard surface material.

Is 1,850 the number that they have manufactured total or or we talking about the number of vehicule that were actually sold? Because I have yet to see one beside the one I saw at a car show and the one at a local dealer. What were they thinking with that "thing" ?

sat in this car at the NY AUTO SHOW, rear seats are BAD !!
over 5"7 and you bang your head going in.. looks cool, but once again, its like a honda crosstour..

They should have just pulled them off the shelf. whoever bought one deserves to have a malfunctioning airbag. Maybe crashing and hitting the dashboard will knock sense into them so they can see how fugly their car is.

People need to check the properly information about this issues before buy theirs next car. To much problem last time. This is a signal that quality is very low at this moment so customer need to select properly theirs product. Open your eyes I don't believe in stupid toyota commercial even acura they always said that they have "5 star safety rating"....right.... right... I see....... The Goverment have to make a severe punishment to secure a real quality of their products to brands that fail in high quality product because those cars aren't cheap though.
