Breaking: 5-door Mini Cooper coming to North America

As you may know already, yesterday we announced that Fiat is going to bring a 5-door version of the 500 small car in North America.

If you though that the competition is doing nothing it’s time to think again, as reports revealed the fact that Bmw is currently working on a 5-door version of the Mini Cooper, developed especially for the North American market.

5 doors is what we call hatchbacks and small wagons. Something with this height and clearance would be a small SUV categorically.

Kinda sounds like they will have 3 competing products the clubman, the countryman, and a 5 door cooper all desighned for people who like the mini concept but want more space doesnt seem to make much sense to have overlapping products
