VIDEO: Ferrari's 599XX Laps The 'Gring Faster Than The Blink Of An Eye...

AutoExpress reports:

The Prancing Horse has galloped around the Nurburgring in record time – test driver Raffaele de Simone lapped the circuit in Ferrari's 599XX in just 6 min 58.16 sec.

That means the 599XX becomes the first ever production-derived sports car to break the 7-minute barrier on the twisting 13-mile circuit.

The 599XX is basically a laboratory on wheels. Ferrari unveiled the extreme track version of the 599 GTB at last year's Geneva Motor Show. Incorporating all the F1-derived technology you can realistically transfer to a road car...

599XX is not even a road legal car, it is not a GT car (too much power for a GT class). so why compare a non-road legal car to a road legal car?

having said that, why did you drag LF-A into the topic, it is not like LF-A has any official ring record yet, or LF-A is the most costly car out there, or LF-A has the highest house-power output..

you logic is akin to.. my titan 2 rocket will fly quicker than a BMW can fill up its gas tank... totally irrelevant.

Judging from the sound I just don't think this car is street legal. Maybe in Italy, definitely NOT in CA.

The Radical SR8 beat this time @ 6:55 ... and it's ACTUALLY ROAD LEGAL (at least in some places).

Maybe the edited the video at the part where the driver stops for a coffee?

It is what it is, a fast car, whether it's road legal or not. Lets appreciate what car companies are offering the auto industry instead of debating price, brand or speed. Whether you are an LF-A mark or a Ferrari lover anyone can say that is one hell of a time on the ring.

Not your standard road legal car but still impressive. Very powerful as well based on how quickly the speedo climbs to 300kph+ on straighs.
