Counterpoint: Inside Line Finds Infiniti's M37, "Almost" Just Right And Class Leading Interior?

Counterpoint: Inside Line Finds Infiniti's M37,

We didn't get along with the 2011 Infiniti M37 at first. A harsh ride compromised the feel from the steering, and the programming of the throttle and transmission got on our nerves. But we're all better now.

We introduced ourselves to the new generation of Infiniti M sedan by getting together with first a 2011 Infiniti M37S and later a 2011 Infiniti M56S. We even conducted a comparison test with the 2010 Mercedes-Benz E550.

After all, the 2011 Infiniti M is a sport sedan and we are enthusiasts, right? So naturally we wanted the sport version.

When the M sedans showed up with 20-inch wheels filling the wheelwells, we were pleased. The high-performance tires had us smiling and the taut suspension tuning (plus active rear steer) that all comes with the $3,650 Sport package seemed perfect for us.

Sporty these cars were; compliant, not so much. We determined that there was such a thing as too big, too firm and too vigilant. And that is how we found the path to true righteousness with this 2011 Infiniti M37.

Looks great inside and out. Especially the side profile (check out the photos in this article) It's not a BMW, it's not a MB. That's a good thing in a way, because when you drive an Infiniti - it feels like an Infiniti. It's dynamics have their own personality and feel. Good or bad? You make the call...

Infiniti has my respect for being original, with great designs and good interiors.

Edmunds gave Infiniti M37s 3 stars and the regular M37 4.5 out of 5. But i think i would go for M37s as i really like the sports kit and wheels of M37s. Beautiful car inside out.

Edmunds didn't give it those star ratings, those are from the readers. It's the equivalent of the boost system on here.

Eye candy. if it came in manual tranny it would be mine. but beautiful nonetheless. I don't see infiniti having trouble selling this marvelous machine.

I saw my first one on the road. It was a black M37S, and I must say, in person, in black it is much nicer than some of the pictures of the car I've seen on the web in silver and white. In person I don't think it looks as bloated.

I thought that the Infiniti M "Missed the mark"? Or was that just Agent009 attempting to make everyone else think about the car in the same way he does?
