STUD OR DUD? Audi RS3 Hot Hatch Gets Caught In The Nude
Audi’s hottest hatch ever is almost ready and we have the best pictures yet of how the brand-new RS3 flagship will look.

Spied testing at the famous Nurburgring race circuit in Germany, the mule captured in the pictures is wearing an S3 Sportback shell, but don’t let this fool you, underneath, the RS version is a different beast altogether.

As well as Audi’s trademark Quattro four-wheel-drive system, it is expected that the RS3 will get a modified version of the same 2.5-litre, five-cylinder turbocharged engine found in the TT RS.

Performance? Stud. Design? Dud (this car is in serious need of an all new design).

It's funny how all Audi needs to do to make a new model of an existing car is add fancy LEDs to the front and back. I'm not talking about this car in particular, but take a look at the A4/A8.

And you can say the same thing for the 3, 5, & 7 series BMW.

I would say they are very different in principle.
BMW's "angle eye" are representing the history of the company. Look at all the old BMW in the past, their two round head lights on each side have been there for decades. With new technology, BMW is able to represent that historical style in a different way.
Audi's LED strip is just a fashion invention, which looks very very nice. I like the look of it, but from a designes's point of view, it is a bit shalow that they put that on everything single model now.

bintintin.

Not really. The 5 series has completely different headlights and tail lights from the 7 series. Same with the 3 series. Audi just blatantly took the headlights of the A4 and put it into all its models.

Huh? Now you are reaching. I mean really, come on. lease tell me what other Audi model has A4 headlights?

I've seen the new A8 in person and it looks NOTHING like a stretched A4. It will need to grow on me more, but it looks like nothing out there. Unlike some people, I wait until I see a car in person before I reserve judgment.

I just happen to dig German cars and appreciate what they have been bringing to the table for years.

I'd get a BMW 335Ci coupe for almost the same price. This car looks like it will be around $40K and the price of a "base" 330Ci with manual is $42K. If this RS3 sells for $35K, then AWESOME, but I doubt it.

Except the RS3 will destroy the 335Ci. I love the beemer, but it won't touch the RS3 in terms of performance. The 135i or the upcoming "M" version will be the one.

Are Audi's still overpriced even though they usually offer more standard equipment than BMW? I guess you want them to start offering stripper configurations to appeal more to budget minded poseurs.

Both BMW and Audi are both overpriced. Next!

The RS is typically Audi's performance version, much like the BMW M series. Audi tends to ask a lot for their RS cars.

It's an expensive R32... I think they should wait until a new body 3 before release the vehicle.
