Lexus resumes sales of the 2010 GX 460 SUV
Lexus announced today that it will resume sales of the 2010 GX 460! The sales were halted after the car was labeled a safety risk by Consumer Reports magazine, but the manufacturer moved fast and fixed the problem in no time.

For those who own a Lexus GX 460, dealers will be contacting them in order to make arrangements to perform the update of the vehicle stability control system.

Tehy do this for everyone, even the 4-Runner did better because its like 400-600 pounds lighter(from V6 and decontented) and has a softer rear suspension thats not as twitchy

Supposedly, this is a "standard" CR measure for SUV's, so it's assumed that at all SUVs go through this test. I don't know whether non-SUVs go through this test.

You would have thought they would have redesigned the suspension to fix the problem and give it a cure instead of change the stability control computer, give it a pill to treat the symptoms! This si why I won't buy a Lexus and why I am Done with this company.

Good job Toyota. I don't think even the pre-updated GX had any real issue but still nice to see Toyota improved the stability system even more. New GX is a great SUV and doesn't deserve any stupid 'don't buy' labels.
