Are You Ready? BYD About To Make Landfall In The U.S.
MSNBC reports:
LOS ANGELES - A rapidly expanding manufacturer of all-electric cars, solar panels and other green products from China announced Friday it will open a North American headquarters in Los Angeles, with plans to begin selling autos in the U.S. by the end of the year.
City officials said the arrival of BYD Inc. of Shenzhen, China, will initially create about 150 high-paying jobs as the company hires managers, designers and engineers to staff the new downtown headquarters. Nope. When I was in China, a lot of people told me that the company sucks, and (obviously), Warren Buffet was simply advertising for them. Many also told me that there were a lot of better companies that just don't get mentioned on American auto websites - they're companies that are usually playing it safe and won't be coming overseas any time soon. (Geely was another auto company they put down although that was an opinion from awhile back, and things could've changed.)
